Hey Melody is a software solution designed to enhance the user experience of OnePlus and OPPO wireless headsets.

Role: UX Strategy, Digital Project Management

As the Digital Project Manager for this initiative, I played a key role in ensuring seamless product development, optimizing the user journey, and refining the software’s interface to deliver an enhanced audio experience.

Project Goals

  • Enhanced User Control: Develop a platform that allows effortless customization of wireless headsets, from battery monitoring to function modifications.
  • Simplified Pairing Process: Streamline the pairing experience, ensuring users can quickly connect their earbuds to mobile devices with minimal friction.

Challenges & My Approach

Ensuring Universal Compatibility

One of the primary challenges was making the Hey Melody app compatible with multiple OnePlus and OPPO headset models.

I worked closely with developers and QA teams to conduct extensive compatibility testing, ensuring a seamless experience across different devices and firmware versions.

Optimizing the User Interface (UI) & User Experience (UX)

The initial UI needed refinement to make navigation intuitive for a diverse user base.

I collaborated with UI/UX designers to enhance the interface, simplifying workflows and improving accessibility, ensuring users of all technical backgrounds could effortlessly control their headsets.

Technical Performance & Reliability

Stability issues were identified in early testing phases, impacting real-time firmware updates and headset controls.

I coordinated with engineers to optimize performance, reduce latency, and enhance error-handling mechanisms to ensure a reliable experience.

Impact & Results

  • Seamless Compatibility: The app now works flawlessly across multiple OnePlus and OPPO headset models, offering a unified experience.
